We love our annual family trip to Garwood Orchard. (We really missed having Tristan home last year and missed this activity!) Typically when we are out, we do not see other special needs families. But…every year, we go apple picking at this place, and it draws people to it. It is a full-inclusion place. Not only do we see different abilities, but also different cultural groups! Something about this place draws all families with all abilities.
Tristan’s favorite part of this event is the hayride. He has been asking for a hayride the last few months. Finally! Garwood Orchards was open and apple picking season abounds. We think he kind of loves the idea there is a snack involved too!
Enjoy the lighter side of autism with our family!
Priceless!
